What Causes Purple Colored Lips?
hi I have a 5 week baby boy and I noticed about 3 days ago his lips are purple in the center mostly the bottom lip however, on the upper lip around the corners I see purple comming what can this be and should I take him to the doctor. I looked at previous pictures taken of him from 1-4 weeks and I didnt noticed his lips were purple so this just came about can you please let me know what I should do

baby might b having central cyanosis. condition in which oxygen saturation of body is low. get baby evaluated and saturation checked by pulse oxymetry.
if it is actually present then further evaluation to rule out heart disease or hemoglobinopathy may b required.
