What Causes Purple Bruise On Arm And Fever While On Lamictal?

Hi, The past month or so, I have noticed that I have been bruising easily. This morning I woke up with a very large, bluish-purple bruise in a scattered pattern on the underside of the upper part of my left arm. I also have some tingling in my fingers and and forearms, with the pinky feeling the most numb. I am also on 200mg of lamicatal, which I read can cause easy bruising. I also feel slightly feverish, but that might be also because I m very worried. What could this be?

Hello,
I have studied your case and I think that you might be having either poor vessel health or coagulopathy. It can be due to one of below mentioned causes.
1.Vitamin C deficiency
2. Liver disease
3. Side effect of your anti epilieptic medicines.
So to confirm the diagnosis I would like to suggest you liver function test. Also you should get blood coagulation profile like BT,CT,PT and INR done.
I would also recommend you to take Vitamin C daily in diet like fruits,lemon juice and vitamin C tablet.
