What Causes Pulsing In Stomach?

I am a 19 year old female. I'm about 5'5 and weigh 148 pounds. For a little while now, I've been noticing a strong pulsing in my stomach that goes with my heart rate. It's noticeable when I sit, and when I lie on my back or on my stomach. Should I see a doctor?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Thank you for trusting HCM.
That is pulsation from the abdominal aorta. its normal to feel and notice this pulsation in slim individuals, but measuring blood pressure is advised always to role out high blood pressure. If this is concerning for you please refer to your doctor for reassurance, plus a colleague of mine advised for abdominal ultra sound to role out abdominal aorta aneurysm, as a screening measure it is indeed a valid suggestion..

Best regards,
Dr. Nazzal
