What Causes Pulsating Area On The Side Of The Neck?

For a couple of months, I have noticed a pulsating area on my right side of my neck. There is no pain, but you can see it. This is near my collar bone. I am 72 years old. have underactive thyroid and take Levolthyroxin 75g. Have high colesterol, but statins make me weak and my legs hurt. I take co Q 10, fish oil, red yeast rice, and vitamin E.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi, It is fairly normal to see pulsations near the collar bone specially in thin people. They are the pulsations of the Subclavian artery which passes through that area.
Do not worry about it. Your medicines do not have anything to do with it.
Take care,
Dr Rishi, New Delhi, India.
