What Causes Protruding Chest Bone In A Teenager?

My son is 13 and very thin. About 90 pounds and 5 3 tall. He has a history of skin excema. I have noticed recently that his chest bone is protruding on one side toward the center of his chest while the other side is very symmetrical. When I bend hm over to look for signs of scoliosis his spine appears straight. He does not complain of any pain, weakness or breathing issues. Should I be alarmed and rush him to see his pediatrician or simply bring it up at a next check up? Thank you
