General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

At 13 years of age, the breasts are getting enlarged as the breasts develop. This would increase the amount of blood flow to the breasts and also the formation of new blood vessels starts.

As veins are superficial, they are very easily visible over the breasts and the skin. These veins are blue or purple in color and this can appear as a blue line over the skin.

This is usually nothing to worry about but it would be good to watch for any lumps or swelling in the breasts ass well. In case there are any lumps seen, getting a mammogram done would be useful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
