What Causes Prolonged Vaginal Bleeding Post Intake Of Cytotec?

I use cytotec 2 mo this ago, and I have not stopped bleeding sometime very light and a week ago had expelled two large clots with alot of blood and for the past week i have been discharging bloody mucus with jus a slight odor like the ending of my normal period? Is everytjing ok

Understand you concern
Prolonged vaginal bleeding after cytotec is not normal. Normally bleeding will stop with in 3-5 days.Following are the causes of prolonged vaginal bleeding.
1. incomplete abortion/retain product: diagnose by USG scan and treated by D & C or extra dose of misoprostol.
2. Vaginal/pelvic infections: as incomplete abortion increased risk of infections. It is diagnose by swab test, CBC and per speculum examintaion,
Treatment is antibiotics course.
3. Ectopic pregnancy: Ectopic pregnancy can not completely remove by cytotec and bleeding continue. Diagnosed bY USG scan and treated by surgery
4. Molar pregnancy: Some time plcental cell by invasion in to utrine wall and convert in to malignant cell and cause cchoriocarcinoma. Diagnosed by Blood HCG titer and USG. Treatment is surgery plus chemotherapy
