In general population most common cause of calf pain is
dehydration and most of the people are unaware of this fact . Drink plenty of water everyday and don't let the dehydration get settled . Other causes of calf pain includes :
1.hypokalemia
2.
diabetes mellitus
3.varicose
4. DVT
5.
SMOKING can cause such pains directly
6. peripheral vascular disease
7.
Vitamin B12 deficiency 8. tendinitis
I would suggest you following:
- quit smoking if you smoke .
-drink plenty of water
- stretch your calfs multiple times a day
- maintain a healthy BMI of 23
-exercise regularly
-get checked for diabetes / blood pressure.
- include more vegetables and fruits and high fiber diet .
- include potassium rich fruits everyday like papaya , banana , kiwi , orange , mango.
If you notice any
redness , swelling then consult your health care providers straight away.
