I have tension onthe left side of my neck, sore throat, the back of my tongue feels swollen, and I have lost my voice. I have taken antibiotics for a upper respiratory infection but these symptoms came about after I ve stopped taking them. What could this be?

Hi welcome to health care magic

Here you are having acute upper respiratory tract infection along with laryngitis....

Your work up needed with....
-Auscultation
-Lymph node palpation
-Throat swab and sent for culture
-Indirect laryngoscopy
-CBC and CRP etc...

If inflammation swelling more than betamethasone 0.5 mg steroid course can be given for five days

Accordibg to culture report suitable antibiotic given

Steam inhalation useful

Drink warm water for drinking...
Take care
