What Causes Pressure In The Middle Of The Chest?

I am having some physical rehab done on a swollen knee. In the past few days, I feel a slight pressure in the middle of my chest, just noticable when I am quiet. Exercise doesn t seem to affect it, at least negatively. Blood pressure at vascular surgeon s office last week was 135/80. My pcp was concerned I had some blood circulation issues in my right leg.

thanks for your question
pressure in the chest can be due to
- gastritis
- cardiac issues
- mediastinal issues

you need to visit a chest physician or a general physician who can request for a chest X-ray and a ecg to evaluate and diagnose the problem

in my patients I generally start them with proton pump inhibitor and investigate them

continue with the medications and physiotherapy

thanks
