Hi,

Yes, tightness in the chest is not a good sign especially when you have had increase of weight. This may be a heart problem its important to follow such as

1. Chest pain. Do x-ray
2. Troponin levels
3. D Dimmers
4. Cardiac enzymes

To start for the pain, Aspirin derivatives both to thin blood and relieve pain. Consult cardiologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mutuma Geoffrey Zambezi
