What Causes Pressure After Urinating And Dark Urine?

This morning I woke up probably around 5 to urinate. I noticed that at the end of urination it felt like pressure, almost like I stiil had to urinate. The color was a little dark. I couldn t tell if it was cloudy because I know if I am not drinking enough liquids this is a normal color for me. Around 7 this morning, I had to urinate again. I did not eat or drink anything. The same pressure was present again at the end of urination. The color was very light this time. I went back to bed and slept until about 10. Had to urinate without intake of food or liquid within this 5 hour time period. The urine was dark again. Each time I went to wipe, I notice a very faint light pink color on the tissue. Also, there was a red flake or two on the tissue. The best way I can describe it is that it looked like the type of cells that slough off when you are about to begin to menstruate. I have had a UTI previously (around the age of 12) and then one other time after becoming sexually active. In both instances it felt like i was urinating needles. I tried to smell my urine and it had a strong odor but it did not smell foul (after research it stated that this would be a symptom but not sure what the foul smell is supposed to be compared to.) Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Cloudy urine is usually a manifest of a urine infection or a reduced fluid intake.

You should have a good fluid intake. Try to take in enough water to have to pass urine 2-3 times a day.

On safer side get a urine routine test done.

I hope that there are no comorbid (other medical) conditions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
