What Causes Presence Of Red Particles In Stool?

Over the last few days I have noticed very small amounts of red items in my stool, most of the pieces look like tiny pin head tomato chunks. I have also noticed that a few times it looked as if there was small amounts of dark red mixed with brown mucus, when I say small I mean 1 or 2 spots on the whole movement that look to have a red ting to them. I don't see blood on the tp or in the toilet but I got freaked out when I passed some corn I ate and all the corn was reddy yellow. I can't tell if it's blood, when I dab the reddy mucus with tp it looks brown not red. I have no pain and have been having at least 2 movements a day, they are all light to dark brown. I'm 28 year old male. Any ideas would be great.
