What Causes Presence Of Orange Particles In Urine?

Hi, of recent I noticed some tiny orange particles when I wipe after urinating. They feel like crystals/glass-like. This is also occurring around the time my period is due. I also had a ruptured ovarian cyst about April f this year. I need to know what is causing this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Orange particles may be small gravel formed due to the precipitation of calcium carbonate or uric acid in urine. If it persists you should have a kidney stone workup. There is a possibility that you may have large stone in kidney.
Secondly it may be clotted blood passed during in urine. Third it may be due to UTI with epithelial cells.
This is not related to your ruptured ovarian cyst. This is a problem of urinary system.
Advice
1.     Drink 4 – 5 liters of uncontaminated water
2.     Syrup alkaline citrate 2 teaspoonful three times daily
3.     Investigations – routine examination of urine, culture & sensitivity of urine, X – ray KUB, IVP
4.     Drink fruit juice and cranberry juice
Further action will be taken according to reports of above recommended tests.
Thanks
