What Causes Pregnancy Symptoms With Negative Result In HPT?

Hi doctor, I am 24years old and its been nearly 12months i got married and ttc since 2mnths. I used to have irregular periods . But it has stabilized now. Since 4mnths my menstrual cycle is between 28-32 days. My last period was on dec 2. till now i dint have my period again. I have symptoms of pregnancy like dizziness, headaches, nausia, frequent weeing and vaginal discharge. So had my hpt 4days but got negative. My last intercourse was dec 17. Still how much time it takes me to get positive result. Is it possible to get positive for this month or not. Pls suggest me further step.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Yes pregnancy symptoms along with delayed period are indicative of pregnancy. But you have negative pregnancy test. Urine Pregnancy test can be false negative in early stages of pregnancy. This is due to less quantity of HCG hormone in urine. With progress of pregnancy HCG hormone in urine will increase & HPT will become positive. So you are advised a repeat home pregnancy test
Then you could go for blood test for prgnancy, which is blood test for beta HCG. This test is more reliable & can test even small quantity of hormone & if this test is positive a transvaginal ultrasound may be used to confirm pregnancy.
