Hello, and I hope I can help you today.
First of all, if all of your
pregnancy tests are negative, you are not pregnant. Modern urine pregnancy tests are quite sensitive and can even detect pregnancy before you miss your period. In addition, hormonal irregularities that cause
irregular periods can frequently have symptoms similar to pregnancy like bloating, breast tenderness, nausea, spotting and mood changes. So your light periods most likely indicate a hormonal imbalance, rather than pregnancy.
I would recommend that you consult with your
OBGYN or
primary care doctor for a hormonal evaluation. This should include (at a minimum) a test for your thyroid hormone, a
prolactin level, a FSH test (elevated in perimanopause) and a screening test for adult diabetes. All of these conditions can produce the symptoms you describe without being pregnant.
I hope i was able to adequately answer your question today and that my advice was helpful.
Best wishes,
Dr. Brown
