What Causes Post-nasal Drip?

Earlier today my throat felt like there was a lump in it. And the day before I had a lot of mucus stuck in my throat and I couldn't get rid of all of it. I was sleeping when this happened. It woke me up. After 25 minutes of laying there. I got up and walked around and it went away. I was fine until 6 hours ago. It started to be the lump but then it was hurting. Been like 2 hours and now I have a crazy razor blade feeling when I drink soda. But only after I feel it 10 seconds later. I feel it going into my stomach.

hello!
there can be 2 main reasons for this
first one is that you are having a sinus infection, which is increasing the mucus production
second one is that your are having lots of acid reflux, which is causing the pain!
dont worry!
meet your ent doctor for further examination and advice
thanks
