What Causes Post Nasal Drip And Choking?

So I have had a nasal drip down my throat ,it s worse at night, I wake up choking , some times I have a dry throats and dry cough and I start choking ,I also think my chest feels a little heavy .i also can not get sleep at night, does this sound like anything serous ??

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your situation could be related to a sinus infection.

For this reason, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam, a sinus X-ray study and nasal drip bacterial culture.
