What Causes Popping Sensation Post Methamphetamine Intake?

I injected crystal meth for the first time today. 2nd time ever using it and don't plan on a third. it caused bad side effects that came on slowly over a period of a few hours. started an hour after use and worsened for 3-4 hours, plateaued for about an hour and is now slowly subsiding. the symptoms were that I felt as if my blood was carbonated, full of bubbles if you will. My ears kept popping and felt as if pressure kept building and subsiding in my head, mainly in my ears and behind my jaw right under my ears, but also inside my head above my ears and at the base of my skull at the spinal cord. What could be happening to me and what could or should I do besides not use meth again?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It increases blood pressure and heart rate. People often hear blood movement in the arteries in the ear. This goes up if there is faster circulation and methamphetamine certainly increases blood pressure and heart rate. This goes away when the drug is gone (and did). Once the blood pressure and heart rate subside things will be better.

I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Regards,
Dr. Matt Wachsman
