Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hi...I am a pulmonologist and can help u....
Pleural thickening can be caused by lots of causes...one such is asbestos exposure...others being infection...may be u have occult Tuberculosis in the past which went away itself....bronchial dilatation may be also due to infection or other systemic causes...
If we try to explain both these 2 conditions then infection is the first cause.
Causes of pleural thickening are-
Bacterial pneumonia

Chemotherapy

Drugs

Infection

Injury to the ribs

Lung contusions

Lupus

Pleural effusion

Pulmonary embolisms

Radiation therapy

Rheumatoid lung disease

Tuberculosis
