What Causes Pins And Needles Sensation In Children?

Hi, my 4 year old daughter complains of "pins and needles" in her hands on and off. Today when she was upset/angry she started complaining that her whole body was tickling like "pins and needles". She was pulling at her legs and hands. Eventually the sensation left her whole body except her hands. What could be causing this?

Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.
I can understand your concern.

There are several causes for the same. you should consult your doctor at the earliest for a complete physical examination. Your doctor may order certain investigations based on the physical examination findings. Further management depends on the diagnosis made. So consult your doctor for a examination to identify the cause.

Vitamin deficiencies etc could be among the multiple causes for the condition.

Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
