Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
yes, my right hand near the thumb area was sort of itchy this morning then I got to work and scratched it and then it turned red and then it started to look like a blister and started growing it is still a small size of a rain drop but now it is causing a pins and needles type pain in my hand and up my arm? what could this be?
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you are having itching and pain in right hand and thumb .It seems to be some allergic reaction may be some insect bite. For itching you can take cetrizine, and for pain you are advised to take analgesic such as ibuprofen. You need not to worry much unless you have fever which signifies it to be cellulitis and then it needs urgent attention. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
