What Causes Pink Bumps On The Inner Thighs?

A few months ago I started noticing a few small bumps on my inner thigh. They were pinkish colour. Now they are spreading and I see new ones every day it seems. I have about 15 ranging from my pelvis(a few in pubic hair) up to my belly button. It does not seem like they are attached to hair follicles. There are about 10 on my penis, including 8 on the shaft and a few on the head. Some are bigger than others, and I popped one a few days ago and some white stuff came out, but now the bump is bigger and red around it. They are not itchy. I have four on my thighs, including the first two that I noticed. I am sexually active with one partner(my girlfriend) and she has two of these bumps also on her inner thigh in the same spot where I noticed my first two. What could this be or cause it? Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms seem to be related to hidradenitis suppurativa. This rare rash presents as blackheads or pimple-like bumps under the skin. It occurs where skin rubs against skin, so it is common in the inner thighs, groin, and armpits.

I recommend you to wash and dry frequently the area. I also recommend to use antibiotic cream for local application such as tetracycline cream.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
