What Causes Pimples On The Face?

hello i am 19 years old
its been a month since i got hepatitis A. I am better now but very tired all the time.
Moreever my doctor suggested no restrictions in diet.
Recently ive been getting a lot of pimples over my face. This has never happened. Is it connected to the disease?

Hello. Thanks for writing to healthcaremagic

Stress can precipitate acne, this is just what seems to have happened in your case.
Acne is otherwise quite common at your age.

Since you have recently recovered from hepatitis, I would suggest just topical treatment for acne. Oral treatment can be avoided.

If I was the treating doctor, I would have asked you to use topical Benzoyl peroxide gel for day time application. Benzoyl peroxide is antibacterial, comedolytic.
For night application, I usually recommend Adapalene, which a topical retinoid. Topical retinoids are antinflammatory, comedolytic

These are prescription drugs, therefore, I would suggest that you visit a nearby dermatologist for a prescription of these.

I find no problem with going to a gym, since you have fully recovered
