What Causes Pimple On Face That Is Popping And Increasing In Size?

I have a big thing kind of like a pimple on my head, I try popping it and it just got bigger. half my face got swollen because of that andI when to my doctor and he gave me some pills I have to drink three times a day every eight hours. Now I try popping it againg and all it cones out is blood. What it is that I have?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pimple on face that is popping and increasing in size along with blood in them sometimes which could be due to entrapment of bacteria in skin, stress , excessive sun exposure , skin infection , oily skin or allergy . It seems to be sever form of cane known as cystic acne. I would suggest you to avoid oily food and keep your skin dry and clean by washing your face with salicylic acid and glycolic acid facewash. Also apply raw honey before going to bed. Limit sun exposure and always apply a sunscreen lotion when exposed to sun. If condition doesn't get better in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like minocyclin or clindamycin along with steroid ointment .
