What Causes Photophobia And Rapid Blinking Of The Eyes?

2 1/2 ago my eyes became sensitive to light, rapid blinking, mild headaches, sore eyes, occasional sharp pain in the eyeball, mucus buildup when I sleep, irritation, eye spasms, facial numbness/tingling. I've been to my eye doctor and he does not know what is wrong. I'm scheduled to see a nuro-ophthalmologist on February 7, 2018.

Hello! Welcome to HCM!

It can be mild non-inflammatory keratitis and corneal erosion. Excessive use of contact lens inflammatory conjuctivitis make mucous buildup. Excessive blinking can be ticks or some time anxiety neurosis stress or strain. Try to reduce anxiety. Facial-tingling and numbness is neurological problem. Keep watch on developing facial palsy or Bell's Palsy. Tight closer of eyelid, forehead-deviation of tongue and face is drawn to opposite side. This is due to involvement of functioning of facial nerve ocular movements should be tested. It effects functioning of one side. You can see neuro-ophthalmology.

Take care
