Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for providing the brief history of you.
A thorough musculoskeletal assessment is advised.

As you keep getting the UTI oftenly and also you have undergone an umblical hernia operation, as per me , i feel its completely a muscle weakness. Since the antibiotics are symptomatic relief which works on the microorganisms, but more need is to have a strong pelvic floor and abdominal muscles to empty the bladder.

I will recommend to undergo physical therapy. You need to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles and abdominal muscles to ensure the emptying of bladder.

The half emptying of bladder is the common issue with most females in my clinical practice and getting UTI most often. I recommend straight away the exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor and muscles of abdomen to get an accuracy of bladder clearance.

A combination of medication and physical therapy has provided the outstanding results in majority of cases i have seen. I am sure you will also be helped.
