What Causes Persistent Tiredness, Sinus Congestion And Cough?

My wife has sniffles and caughs. After three days she feels in turn cold and hot. She does not have a fever but has congested sinuses and is uncomfortable. She gets up and soon feels week. She usually is on her feet all day and stays active, bur now she is in bed all day and feels very tired. What can I give her to get relief and recover?

By your history and description, possibility of viral upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) is more likely in your wife's case.
So follow these steps for better symptomatic relief.
1. Tell her to drink plenty of fluids orally and keep herself hydrated.
2. Tell her to avoid oily and spicy food, avoid junk food, avoid hard to chew food.
3. Tell her to do warm water gargles and steam inhalation 4-5 times a day.
4. Give her levocetrizine and paracetamol combination twice daily. This combination is available over the counter.
She will mostly improve with all these in 2-3 days.
If not improving then consult doctor.
