What Causes Persistent Pulsating Sensation In Stomach After Lifting Heavy Weights?

About two years ago I lifted a heavy object and thought I got a hernia but two different doctors said it was just a strain. I still feel some slight discomfort when lifting things at work or lifting weights at home. Also my belly button changed from an innie to an outie and there is a pulsating pressure on the right side of my stomach regularly. Should I see a gastrointestinal doctor?

Hi. It sounds as though you might well have an umbilical hernia, especially if your belly button is now protruding outwards. This would be consistent with the history of lifting a heavy object and onset of pain. Sometimes hernias are so small that they cannot be obviously diagnosed. You should see a gastrointestinal surgeon to be examined formally and discuss your concerns with them.
