What Causes Persistent Pain In The Femur Bone And Excessive Fatigue?

I have been having bone pain in my r femur for several months now. Also a low grade temp for about 6months. The bone pain is becoming excruciating and also now have it in my forearm bone on thumb side. It is intermittent as I don t have every day but the frequency us greater as well as severity.I am extremely hot at times sweating profusely. I wake at night from sweating. I have bruises all over from unknown causes an enlarged thyroid gland (5.5cm).wbc was 14 no known infection. Lyme and arthritis was Neg. I m often fatigued and tired. Pain in my stomach but feels midline and slightly toward the right. Lately noticed eyes slightly yellow. Bone pain is now in both legs and entire leg w most pain being in femur. The pain in my arm today hurt so badly that I couldn t pull up my 8month old daughters shorts without wincing and crying from pain. What could this be?who should I be seeing?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The progressive pain in bones you have suggests...osteoporosis.. weakness of bones due to calcium, vitamin D deficiency...more common in old age, postmenopausal age or chronic illnesses (a digestive deficiency, diabetes, debilitating disease like tuberculosis... especially because you have evening rise of temperature & night sweating).

Pathological tests like serum calcium, vitamin D levels, blood glucose tests & complete blood counts & X-ray bones for bone density test. Once the cause is found specific treatment on needful dosage would solve your problem. Till then take rest, add calcium & vitamin D preparation (OTC) to your diet. Please consult a physician for personal advice.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
