What Causes Persistent Pain In Right Arm?

Hello, I have a constant pain running down my right arm. sometimes the ache is in my shoulder or lower between elbow and shoulder, pain also seems to move down into forearm. Right now I cannot raise my arm above chest high. I have my right arm in a sling so I don t use it. Pain is sharp when I raise my arm at chest height and non existent when arm is resting in sling. I am thinking a pinched nerve in shoulder or neck, or pulled muscle in arm.???

Examination is a must before commenting but on the description of your problem you seem to have FROZEN SHOULDER syndrome more likely to be SUPRASPINATUS TENDONITIS its a muscle tendon which gets injured or ruptured leading to your symptoms . do get your MRI SCAN to know exact situation and extent of damage
