Hello,

You are experiencing persistent pain in the lower biceps, upper back and armpit after a week of extra work out. You also have a family history of getting stroke, hypertension and asthma. Give yourself rest, overuse of the muscle also causes stress / strain and pain. A pinched nerve in the upper back can also cause pain that radiates down the arm. Get clinically examined by a GP. Injury to the biceps muscle and tendon can lead to bicep pain.

Get Imaging tests done as upper back pain that shoots down the arm is caused by an herniated disc in the upper back or myofascial pain syndrome. You will be treated accordingly. In the meantime, take naproxen or Combiflam, one stat when needed. You can apply pain relieving spray on the area affected. Gentle massage with pain relieving ointment are helpful. Cold compress or icing will also relieve discomfort if there is swelling. Get connected to a Physical therapist. Certain exercises done will help to fix the problem.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
