Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter is 15 and has been suffering migraines from she was 9 or 10 years old. I have continously brought her to the GP but he says it is just a migraine and there is nothing that he can do. Not she has Asthma so the on pain relieve that she can take is parcetamol which doesn t really work. She gets tingly sensation in her hands sore head and upste tummy when she has a migraine. I have heard that getting a certain part of your ear periced can help is this true.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have persistent migraine . I think that constant migraine can cause brain swelling and similar ocular symptoms. So I would recommend you to consult with the neurologist and have a brain CT scan to exclude possible causes of raised intracranial pressure like a tumor etc. If the CT results normal I would recommend you to start therapy with topiramate or amytriptiline to decrease the frequency and severity of migraine attacks. Doctor may also prescribe frusamide , betablockers or vasograine.
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
