Hi,I have been to a few different doctors about my problems. I haven t had a proper diagnosis on what is wrong with me. I have been having persistent loose stools. This started after my mother passed away in August from Colon Cancer at age 62. I am currently 25 years old. It started with the constant urge to use the bathroom and no matter if i went or not I would always have that feeling. Multiple trips to the bathroom sometimes passing only mucous. I have a full set of labs done which all came back fine as well as stool cultures that came back negative for blood. I have never had a bloody bowel movement nor seen blood when I wipe. I have an occasional completely normal looking BM. Most of the time it is loose and flat stools. I have had some abdomen pain mostly in my lower left abdomen. Occasional lower right pain. Ever since I have started eating more fiber I am now down to about 2 BMs a day mostly. Most of the time its loose. Not watery diarrhea just small chunks.
Hi, I understood your problem and probably you are suffering from irritable bowel syndrome which we usually call as IBS ,because as you said all your lab reports are normal . The main problem with this condition is u have frequent loose stools and pain abdomen which is usually relieved after each bowel movement. Try few home remedies like avoidance of stress because that is the most common cause for flare up of symptoms ,do yoga like simple breathing exercise that may help you .And minimise oily food,dairy food ,caffeine . Even after doing all the above things and still you have the symptoms then you can go and see a doctor. hope the information wil help you.. Thank you.
