What Causes Persistent Knee Pain Despite Taking Medication?

Went to emergency rm. last Sunday morning, my right knee started hurting SO bad , i couldnt hardly walk, long story short,, Dr. said I have Arthrelgia, gave me Ibuprophen 600 , andHydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325tb,, well it helped a lot, but I still have pain ,I use my walker, because if I dont it will start to hurt very badly again, what is wrong ? do I need to take the 10/325?

Arthralgia is the medical term for pain in a joint.It does not give an indication of the cause of the pain.
The most common cause is arthritis which is inflammation of the joints but there are different types arthritis.

You can add voltaren gel and warm compresses to your current regimen to see if this helps.
You may also need imaging of the knee to determine the cause of the arthragia.

Physiotherapy exercises to strengthen the knee joint may also be beneficial.
