What Causes Persistent High Fever In An Infant Despite Administering Meftal?

My 1 year old daughter hado fever of about 102 and a little above. Crocin isn t helping so doc suggested about 5 ml of Meftal as she weighs around 8.5 kg. The first dose of Meftal kept fever down for 6 hours . However, when I gave second dose, fever seems to be coming back within 3 hours. Right now 4 hours have elapsed and she s at 102. Please suggest what to do? When can I give the next dosage?

Persistent fever is mostly suggestive of some infection. For treatment you can give your daughter some antibiotic preferably zifi-cv or moxikind-cv after an expert advice along with nimol-plus or brufen junior every 6-8 hours for high grade fever. Do cold sponging to reduce the temperature of her body.
