What Causes Persistent Fever And Headache In Children?
Hi, my 6 year old son has been running a fever for 2 days. He says his head hurts and that he has yucky stuff in his throat. From time to time he also complains of pains in his stomach with this. The fever will go down with Motrin but it comes right back when it wears off. He just had the same exact thing 2 weeks ago but that also came with vomiting. He seems like he gets sick all the time. Any suggestions?

This suggests acute pharyngitis. If supportive treatment with Motrin and adequate hydration is not helping after 48-72 hours, kindly take him to doctor, as we might need antibiotics too.
