What Causes Persistent Dry Cough While Sleeping With Right Sided Pain Under Ribs?
Hi, I ve had bronchitis recently and now have a nagging dry cough. Particularly when I sleep. It s been going on for about 1 month. Yesterday I developed a sharp pain on the inner side of my rib cage on the right side any time I cough. When I m not coughing, its a dull pain. Is this pleurisy? If not, damaged ribs due to cough? Thank you.

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the chronic cough then it need to be investigated but most of the time it may be allergic condition but it can not be taken as granted unless proved, and for that better to get done the x-ray chest and routine blood tests, but right now it does not seems anything wrong, hope this information may helps, take care and have a nice day.
