Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a persistent cough, more than three weeks. no chest/lung congestion. My throat has spasms and I can feel it pulse to tighten, but it doesn t really close. It is enough to notice it though. I was given Benzonatate for the cough and Prednisone, but it really doesn t seen to be getting much better. if it is, it is very small. the office says if may be some type of virus. What kind of virus would do this and how can I kick it faster?
Is your cough dry? In my perspective you might be suffering from some allergy which is causing you cough. Try some antiallergic treatment. Check it with your practitioner.
Thanks Dr. Tripat Mehta
