What Causes Persistent Cold, Cough, Fever And Headache?

I have had a cold for 2 weeks and have had violent coughing for the last 2 days. Low fever, chilling, and mild headache. I went to my local urgent care, and was given an antibiotic, a cough syrup which has codeine, which, by the way, is doing nothing for my cough, and an inhaler. But I was not told what the diagnosis was. Can you shed any light on what I may have? Thank you.
