My 22 year old daughter has had pain in her back the last couple of days. She has also had recent UTI. She is Type I diabetic. She is currently in a lot of pain, with sweats and nausia - she had a kidney infection once before. She is at work, should she go to emergency room?

Hi .yes she should go to ER .Diabetic patients are more prone to develop urine infection which may ascend up and cause infection in kidney which is pyelonephritis ..So she may need IV antibiotics along with good sugar control .
Sugar control is also very important to control infection.

hope it helps
regards
