General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Persistent anxiety could be due to panic attack. I would suggest to consult psychiatric and require proper assessment. Cognitive behavior therapy will help to know cognitive function of brain. You can use xanax for short term management.

You can ask doctor for increase dose and it will reduce anxiety in 2-3 days. If anxiety persists then drugs like citalopram can be use for long term management. Do regular exercise, eat healthy diet, enjoy your hobby, spend good time with your family and friends.

Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.

Best regards,
Dr. Sagar
