What Causes Periods After Taking Novelon?

Now having cyst in ovary, used novelon.but after taken 3 days of medicine m discontinued the medicine & again my periods started after 4 days. what may be the reason? it is anything serious? should i take any medicine with novelon? during my periods i hv heavy bleeding too for 6/7 days pls help

Hi,
I understood your query.
The Novelan is a contraceptive pill.It is given in ovarian cyst cases for controlling irregular periods,/ heavy periods by controlling hormonal imbalance & appearance of new cysts.
Novelan is to be taken regularly through out the cycle.You had dropped it after 3 days ,which resulted in withdrawal bleeding.So don't be tense,
Start with novelan on 5th day of your periods, take the pills regularly (according to instructions on the pack) at the same time every day. Don't take a break in between.When one pack is over, wait for period, & start with new pack as described before.
