What Causes Pelvic Pain Post Mirena IUD Insertion?

Hello,
I had the Mirena IUD inserted a year ago, and after the initial two weeks or so, all cramping and pain went away, all was good. Every once in a while since then, though, I get very sharp cramping pains in my uterus or cervix area, enough to stop my breathing, and it usually lasts about a minute, then it goes away completely. It feels like hooks are pulling down on tissue or something, what can it be?

hello
If i would be your treating doctor i would suggest you to go for ultrasound to rule out the cause.
Take tab Meftal spas 1 tab twice a day (for pain)
Consult to gynecologist for examination & investigations.
