What Causes Pelvic Pain And Painful Urination?

Hi, I have a dull pain, not at all severe, in the lower left side of my pelvic region. Sometimes my skin is actually sore but not all the time, nor is the pain always there. I noticed if I urinate, but only when I don't hold a lot of urine to pass, it tends to hurt, but again not severe. What could this possibly be?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

According to the narration it seems to be gravels or calculus in the ureter irritating the epithelial linings of the urinary tract and giving symptoms.

Recommended to take urine microscopy with ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis to finalize the diagnosis and further management plan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
