What Causes Passing Of Black Substance In Stool?
dear Dr. im a pediatrician and my 2 year old baby has had a bowl movement 14 days ago which was full of tiny white rounded dead worms ,i gave him mebendazole and praziquintal after which he continued to pass stools full of dead worms and worms part round and flat for the next 10 days, and i fount 2 soclexes once 2 days ago. yesterday i found many black or dark brown balls like 1/4 in diameter along with few flat specs which exactly looked like black lentils which am really concerned about ...i was thinking maybe it was gallstones i dont konw

Black stool can occur due to iron supplementation or due to bleeding in upper gi tract, latter known as melena. You should have this evaluated by your physician. The small balls are usually indication of constipation.
