What Causes Parietal Edema And Loss Of Function In Arm During ASD Surgery?
I am 20 yrs old.Recently diagnosed i have ASD with 2.5 cms opening.docters planed to do closed process. During surgery i had mild left parietal gyrul edema and loss of functions left arm and leg.doctors noticed and stop surgery then immediatly dissolve clot.now i recovered from attack stroke.its happened two days back.still i am in hospital.doctor told me continue clopilet A 150 for 6 months then after three months we will plan for closure ASD. I have three questions doctor. 1.why heppened like this during surgery.?it will happen again after three months in time of surgery.?or shall i plan for open heart surgery.? 2.now i recovered fully brain attack or not.?shall i do repeat scan.? 3.shall i continue clopilet A 150? Docter didnt prescribed any other medicines.please give me good advice.thank you.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if this is ASD then such risk of escaping clot is just likely and great care need to be taken to prevent it because this could be possible for next time too, if the clinical symptoms are not sever then you can delay operation some time defect can be closed on its own, you need to continue the medicine (Clopilet), hope this information helps, take care.
