What Causes Panic Attacks?

Hi my mom has this problem it seems when ever she leave home she starts to sort of "freak out" and i have looked it up and it seems she has panic attacks when ever she leaves the house. it has only been goijng on for the past two days and i was wondering if she should go see a doctor

I went through your details. I suggest you not to worry much. Panic disorder is panicking before some physical / hypothetical situation. Usually panic attacks are based on anxiety about something. Anxiety is fear about some future event which may or may not happen. Your task is to find out why your mother is anxious and why she gets panic and what is the root cause of anxiety. Once the root cause is known, treatment becomes easy. You can consult a psychologist who should help you.
