What Causes Palpitations?

Hi, my daughter is 25 years old appx 5 5 , weighs 210. Last night at work she started feeling her heartbeat . She described it as regular beats then a stronger beat. Hello and welcome to HCM.
Palpitations at rest in a 25 year old female needs further investigations.
It may be related to anxiety,thyroid disorders,anaemia.
Thyroid disorders may be associated with menstrual irregularities.Anaemia with fatigue,reduced working capacity and pallor.
If I were your doctor,I would recommend,
-Investigations like blood pressure measurement, blood haemogram,thyroid tests,electrocardiography,blood glucose and blood lipids.
-Destress yourself with regular yoga and meditation.Listen to calm music or engage in some relaxing hobby.
-Keep your weight within control by balanced diet and regular exercising.
-Further management depends upon the results of the tests.
