What Causes Palpitations While On Trazodone And Synthroid?

Hi, I m under extreme stressors, lost job, dad had stroke, and I ve been out of my apartment for 3 months due to a water issue. I just returned home, really needed to sleep. I took a 50 mg Trazodone about 20 min ago, I m on a T3 and synthroid as I have no thyroid due to cancer surgery 2 years ago. I ve taken it before with no reaction. I just laid down and my heart started racing.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Synthroid and Trazodone have minor non significant interaction between them.
I think you should talk to your doctor for symptoms you had.
These could be symptoms of a heart problem called QT prolongation.

Hope I have answered your query.
